Swimming Lessons

Both Mircea and Casper were enrolled in swimming lessons. Casper was enrolled into the Parent/Tot class--where he and Bryan swam together. Mircea was enrolled into the Pre-2 class. Mircea's class was at 6:30pm and then Casper's was at 7pm. Therefore, Mircea would join Casper for the beginning of his class, while they were all getting wet, and then I would take her to the showers so we could be done when it was time for Bry and Casper to shower.
It was a lot of fun for the both of them. Last week was the last week of their class--we won't enroll them again until fall, as it takes up 2 evenings a week, and we would rather spend it doing other things, while the weather is nice.

It took a million times of trying to get a video of Mircea jumping in.
I should probably have posted the others of her NOT jumping in.
For some reason, this swim lesson she was acting shy and timid.

Another Mariners game

June 5th (Friday)
So. . . we are looking forward to going to a game where they win. . .
But here we are at another game. It was nice weather, the kids were in a great mood, Bry bought cotton candy again, and most importantly Cea carried the backpack all by herself.
We weren't in our usual seats--we were near right field this time.

The first bite!
You can also see Casper's hand--he tends to pull hair, and this is proof!
Would you look at that--I am in a picture!
Yummy!
and a bit sticky
Sticky won't slow her down!
Watching the game
I'm not sure which inning we are in, but casper is still happy!
She loved swinging on the pole, as well as dancing to the music!

Uncle Bud

Saturday, June 6th

Every year we get together as a memorial to my Uncle Bud. Usually we eat at Whistlin Jacks on the pass; however, this year my cousin Dan and his family were unable to make it, so we decided to make the breakfast place closer.
It was a lot of fun and chaos--which means we will continue to do it next year too!
We ate at the Maltby Cafe, about an hour north of us. Those who made it were: Ginny's family (minus Steve), Beth's family, Beaner and Allen (Beaner is my cousin), my dad and mom, and us.
Bry says, make sure you write that it was crowded, because somebody reserved a table for 12 and there were 16 of us (BRUCE)!!!

Casper liked all the attention--

There was too much food, so a lot was left over.
Cutting up pancakes, sausages, etc.
Then all conversations stopped!
(Well, Casper would complain periodically if I didn't give him my sausages fast enough)
We ate, Grandpa paid, we left.
I think we'll do it again next year!
(Uncle Bud would have really enjoyed this!)

Playdate with Joe and Danny

June 4th Thursday

We had a play date today with Joe and Danny. It was a beautiful day out, so it was a great day! First they played a little inside and had a tea party and snack. Then they headed outside (with a bunch of sunscreen on) to "swim" and play on the play set.
Cea and Joe loved being "scuber divers"
Beth and I chatted and drank iced tea. (Well, and I ran up and down the stairs adding hot water to the pool!)

Music Class Ending for the Summer

Music class is "closing" for the summer. We will still have a couple events, but not a regular weekly class (and the events don't involve music).

The last day of class was amazing. The ladies who run the course are so great, and they really take care of us moms! The class started and we sang 3 songs, ending with the song "God Made Me". Ms Lisa then reminded us that while it is important the our children have music in their lives, that it is way more important that we teach them of God and have him involved with our lives. They then had us go outside where they have a great play set for their nursery school. Under some trees they had a table set up with food for moms and kids, they handed out popsicles to the kids, they had an espresso cart in the church where they made free iced coffees for the moms, there was a big blowup bouncy toy, places to ride trikes, and so much more! Mircea had a blast, Casper had a blast, I had a blast! One of the ladies, Karen, watched Casper when he was playing inside, and then another, Yvonne, was so kind to hold and play with him outside, so I could try to keep up with Cea. We are definitely looking forward to when classes start after summer.
Anyway, I thought I would post a couple pics and video of a regular music class and then of the last day of class.

so they got to be up in the front of the class to have everyone sing to them!)

My BIG Boy!

Just a quick update on Casper. He loves to crawl around! It is quite funny, as he much of the time uses his fist instead of an open hand to crawl! (That is what Bry has to do due to his injury--so when Bry watched him do it, he said, "Did this suddenly become genetic?)

Casper also likes to pull himself up onto his feet. (He is quite strong!) Yesterday, June 9th, he was standing on his feet, and he let go of what he was holding on to, and reached for me! Of course he tipped over (grin), but it was still cool!

Casper has also become totally interested in solid food. He is a carnivore! The other day we had nachos, and he ate the ground beef and black beans. He also has eaten sausage, chicken and a hotdog. Meat is Yummy! Oh, and he will eat other food as well--but he likes the meat!

I will say that one of our favorite things is his big belly laugh! It is awesome!

Oh, and did I mention that he now has 4 teeth. (and they are sharp!) He might be growing a 5th one as well. . .

An Every Day Tea Party

May 28th (Tuesday)

We are starting to do a lot more tea parties at our house. Even though it is becoming a more regular occurance--Cea still has a lot of fun. (Mostly I think it is because she gets to do the "pouring"!)

Here is an example:

Tea cup? Check!
Saucer? Check!
Sugar Bowl? Check!
Spoon? Check!
Teapot? Check!
Princess Dress? Check!

1 scoop or 2? (or 3 or 4 or 5 or. . . )

We added some yummy treats and sipped our tea!
It is a lot of fun!
Cea took my picture too, as she invited me to her party!
