Naughty Boy!!

This is another example, of why you should not leave your kids unattended.! We were trying to get ready for meeting. . . Casper was all ready to go; so we left him playing happily on the floor while we were getting Cea ready, getting our books, etc. We go to pick up Casper to take him to the car. . . and well, you get the picture! Thank goodness the pen marks wiped off easily with diaper wipes! No wonder he was so quiet and happy!

Playdate with Sophia

May 8, 2009 (Friday)

We went to the park to hang out with Jennie, Sophia, Jamie, and Anthony.
Mircea played with Sophia, while the boys did their own thing. There is a huge playset at the park where they played, then we ate a picnic lunch, and then off to play "near" the water, which ended up being, "IN" the water.
It was a lot of fun! Mircea still talks about it! She loved stomping in the water and she loved playing with the sand!

Sliding down

Run and . . .

JUMP

SPLASH

Let's do that again!

All in all, it was a lot of fun. And, she fell asleep on the way home--all played out! :)

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, Bry, Cea and Casper gave me a Garmin Navigator.--Now I have directions to get to places AND it has this neat feature that wherever I am, I can hit the "go home" button, and it will get me home!
Thank you!

Teleporting and other things Casper does. . .

Casper has been working hard lately. . .
He is growing 2 teeth; still not really eating food, but getting the teeth regardless!

Casper also seems to be quite the mover! We are a bit uncertain to how he moves, because he will be one place, you look away, and then he is in another. Maybe he crawls, maybe he rolls, maybe he scoots, but at the moment we are considering that maybe he teleports!--he is quite the quick little bugger!

We are also enjoying all the giggles that come from the back seat of the car--He finds Cea to be hilarious!

While Casper is quite a big boy, he is rather flexible and still enjoys eating his feet! I no longer question if I get an odd number of socks from the dryer--i now know the match is probably being digested in Casper's tummy!

The Sleep-Over and other big girl activities

Mircea had a sleep-over at her grandparents house (my folks) starting Sunday and ending Tuesday after lunch.
She had a blast! They played games, colored, had tea parties, played with dolls, made cookies, went bicycle riding, plus many other things.

The best part was the phone call we had with her Monday night. . . she said, "Mom, I haven't been fighting with Grandpa or Grandma!" What a good girl!!!

Here are some pics of the time (courtesy of Grandma!)

Bedtime stories with Grandpa
YUM! Corn on the Cob--probably in Cea's top 3 food choices

Riding a bicycle
playing with babies!

We all missed her while she was gone! Casper was quite glad to get her back home!

Playdate with Spencer and Carson

Mircea, Casper and I were invited over for a playdate 10 am May 7th by Spencer and Carson and of course their mom Teresa.
We all had a wonderful time! Unfortunately I didn't pull my camera out early enough to take many pics. . . and then to top it off, the picture of Carson that I took, I accidentally deleted--so I don't have a picture of him!--Bummer!
The kids were all a bit shy with each other, but I am betting that will quit after they get together a little more.
The cutest part of our time there was when Spencer and Cea played the 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf. (Cea loves the story, and giggles hysterically when you say, "not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!" She also loves to sing "who's afraid of the big bad wolf? the big bad wolf? the big bad wolf? Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Tra La La La Laaa!")

Kittens and the mean Daddy

This also happened on the busy day of May 6th.

Kittens were born into the family where we go to Bible study. We got to see the kittens. They are not even a week old. (I think.) Anyway, Mircea loved them and was thrilled that she got to hold them.
On Thursday, she made the comment that she wanted a kitten. She wanted a BLACK kitten but her Daddy won't let her keep it. (Personally, I think that if her Daddy had seen her with her wide blue eyes as she said that, that he would say she could have one!)
They had black, white and orange kittens. The mama was very nice about letting us hold her babies!

She wants to keep this one--look how nicely she can hold it!
A close up!
aaaaah!
I got to hold one too!
I love kittens--it is just unfortunate that they grow up to be cats!
