Playdate with Sophia

June 16th Tuesday

Well, we had Sophia (one of Cea's friends that is NOT invisible) over today. We had a great time. She said she wanted to come over again! :)
As you shall see, there was never a dull moment! . . .

Lunch time!
Everyone made their own Quesadilla (or Cea-dilla as it is known in our house)
Sophia and Cea are proud of their accomplishment!

Playing with stuffed Animals
They played house, school, and everything else.

Of course we had to dress up for a princess tea party.
The girls looked lovely!
Sophia doesn't like tea, so we had chocolate milk instead.
(Mircea had made Brownies that morning in anticipation of Sophia coming over! Oh, and when I say "made", I mean, she is in charge of telling me the ingredients we need for the brownies and dumping them in (except I do the eggs), then she turns the mixer on, and then she helps scrape/lick the bowl.)

Some happy princesses!

Ummmmm sipping daintily I am sure!
Playing with the musical magnets while waiting for the "teapot" to be refilled!

Casper did his best to fill his role as the annoying little brother!
He did a great job!

Playing outside on the play set.
They also jumped on the trampoline and played in the sandbox.

Painting on the deck! There was a lot of art once they were done!

Bryan came home and read stories while I made dinner.

Then Darren came and picked up Sophia and Mircea headed off to swim lessons.

Let's do this again!

Painting Cea's room and new carpet

Well, we have bit the bullet and decided it was time for Cea to move from the crib to a real bed (and Casper to move to the crib.) So we decided to completely redo her room into a big girl room.
The color chosen for the walls is Yellow, with white as an accent.
We painted the ceiling and closet (white), and then the walls(yellow), and then got new carpet (cream/khaki) and installed new trim (white). Once it was done we put in the "new" furniture that we had purchased for her.

Bryan painting the ceiling.
Mircea was supposed to be sleeping in the living room on her mattress, but she was just too excited and wanted to help! I believe we were up until after midnight painting the ceiling and dealing with an overly excited little girl!

Now it is time to paint the walls!
Mircea is sooooooo excited that she gets to help!

This is the wall she got to help paint!
Look at her go!

Well we painted her room on a Saturday. Then we painted it again on Sunday evening. Monday morning the carpet people show up and install the carpet.
Here are Casper and Cea on the new carpet. (The nicest carpet in our house in fact!)
Mircea is talking to Bryan on the phone telling him about her new carpet!
I want new carpet now!!!
It's NOT fair!

I don't have a completed picture of the room, as I am waiting for Bryan to put together her new bookshelf. But it is a very cute room! Bry and I want to move in! Mircea has already invited her Grandpa over for a sleepover! grin

Swimming Lessons

Both Mircea and Casper were enrolled in swimming lessons. Casper was enrolled into the Parent/Tot class--where he and Bryan swam together. Mircea was enrolled into the Pre-2 class. Mircea's class was at 6:30pm and then Casper's was at 7pm. Therefore, Mircea would join Casper for the beginning of his class, while they were all getting wet, and then I would take her to the showers so we could be done when it was time for Bry and Casper to shower.
It was a lot of fun for the both of them. Last week was the last week of their class--we won't enroll them again until fall, as it takes up 2 evenings a week, and we would rather spend it doing other things, while the weather is nice.

It took a million times of trying to get a video of Mircea jumping in.
I should probably have posted the others of her NOT jumping in.
For some reason, this swim lesson she was acting shy and timid.

Another Mariners game

June 5th (Friday)
So. . . we are looking forward to going to a game where they win. . .
But here we are at another game. It was nice weather, the kids were in a great mood, Bry bought cotton candy again, and most importantly Cea carried the backpack all by herself.
We weren't in our usual seats--we were near right field this time.

The first bite!
You can also see Casper's hand--he tends to pull hair, and this is proof!
Would you look at that--I am in a picture!
Yummy!
and a bit sticky
Sticky won't slow her down!
Watching the game
I'm not sure which inning we are in, but casper is still happy!
She loved swinging on the pole, as well as dancing to the music!

Uncle Bud

Saturday, June 6th

Every year we get together as a memorial to my Uncle Bud. Usually we eat at Whistlin Jacks on the pass; however, this year my cousin Dan and his family were unable to make it, so we decided to make the breakfast place closer.
It was a lot of fun and chaos--which means we will continue to do it next year too!
We ate at the Maltby Cafe, about an hour north of us. Those who made it were: Ginny's family (minus Steve), Beth's family, Beaner and Allen (Beaner is my cousin), my dad and mom, and us.
Bry says, make sure you write that it was crowded, because somebody reserved a table for 12 and there were 16 of us (BRUCE)!!!

The handsomest boys at the table

Allen (almost cut out), Beaner, Grandpa, Mircea and Joe
Reading the menu or coloring
Samantha, Ginny and Alex

My twin sisters family with Casper stealing the show

Beth, Troy, Joe and Danny

Grandpa and Mircea

The "CINNAMON ROLLS"
We ordered 4 for the 16 of us
Grandpa took 1.5 home with him
They were rather large!

The BITE

The BLISS!

Alex
Danny
Mircea eating CREAM
Casper patting Joe's cheeks!
Casper liked all the attention--
The kids would come over to our side of the table to visit him
Samantha
Getting our food.
There was too much food, so a lot was left over.
Cutting up pancakes, sausages, etc.
Then all conversations stopped!
(Well, Casper would complain periodically if I didn't give him my sausages fast enough)
We ate, Grandpa paid, we left.
I think we'll do it again next year!
(Uncle Bud would have really enjoyed this!)
