The Dangers of Playing the Piano

Captured this, and it made us all laugh!

What!?!?! Casper in a dress?!?!?!

Today, I was going to put away some dresses that Beth and I wore when we were babies--I was a bit sad, because Cea was able to only wear 1 of them, as she was too big before I got them. Suddenly, I got a fabulous idea. . . and since Bryan wasn't around to stop me. . . I acted upon it.
The following are pictures of Casper in my old baby clothes! SNICKER>he really isn't going to like these in several more years!

AAAAAH!
When Cea wore this when she was little, it was like a little Shirley Temple dress--as it only went to the bottom of her diaper. She looked expecially sweet in it! There is a pink one too--but I figured Casper only had to wear one of them!

I wore this dress for my 1st birthday!
You can tell he has no clue what is going on--he's smiling!

Mircea had to get in on the action, so Casper got to miss out wearing one of the outfits--I'm sure he will thank her later! But this little pink dress with white polka dots has a very cute matching diaper cover!

Tea Party with Jennifer

Just a couple pics of Mircea and Jennifer, playing pretend "tea party" on the curb; while waiting for us to finish chatting with people! Now she talks about her friend a lot! :)

Flushed Away . . .

Today, Mircea kept telling me about the fish and the toilet. I couldn't figure out what she was talking about?!?!?!? . . . then I counted the fish. . . 1 2 3 4 5 ???? there was NO 6th fish! I called Bryan, and learned that one had passed away, and they flushed it.
The Fish Funeral Service went as follows:
Bryan scooped him out, dropped him in the toilet. Mircea spoke, "Bye Bye Fishie, I love you!" *FLUSH*
I called Bry and told him-- "when important events like that happen--please tell me, so I am aware, of what is going through her head the rest of the day!"
She doesn't quite understand what death is--and I am beginning to think that she associates it with *FLUSH*

Our New Pets

Well, it all started when Bry told Mircea, "If you do well in swimming lessons without me, we can go get some fish." This wasn't really bribery as it might sound--the truth of the matter is--Bryan wants a fish tank and some fish. As per previous post, Mircea has been doing well in her swimming class (she is the splashiest kid in the pool). On Saturday, when I was conveniently gone to a baby shower, Bryan and Mircea when to Grandma and Grandpa's house to borrow their old fish tank that used to house "Fetch". Grandpa's pet fish; who died a couple years ago (thankfully not on our watch).
A moment of silence for Fetch. . . . . .

Anyway, after borrowing the tank, that evening we went and bought 6 Tetras (the red and blue ones). We have since learned from Marina, that these kind of fish just won't die--and we heard of some of the things their fish have endured through! grin.--it was entertaining. So now we are a family of 10. (we are hoping that the big belly on one of the fish does not mean anything! grin) If this fish experiment goes well; we might get an even bigger tank, and hopefully at some point get some upside down catfish. But I digress. . . the following pics are of Mircea and her fish. She is quite excited about them! She LOVES them. In fact she was sooo excited that almost all of Sunday she had her invisible friends around--so she could spread out the excitement.

Decoration for her tank--she picked it out
The fish getting acclimated--can you tell she is excited?!?

The fish are in the tank!
Look Casper!

Swimming Lessons

Mircea has graduated from the parent/tot swim class that she was doing with her dad, to the pre-1 class, which means she has a teacher and we watch from the sidelines.
There are suppose to be 2 other kids in the class--but one cries and never gets in, and I am not too sure about the other one.
Anyway, she was the only kid in the class in the following pictures. She has a lot of fun in swim class.

Getting wet at the start of class

floating on her back

A back glide with assistance

Torpedo hands and doing a front glide (with assistance)

a close up of front glide while blowing bubbles

Happy Birthday Grumpy

It is still the 26th here--and Bry just remembered to tell me it was your birthday! So with 45 minutes to spare--Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to Grumpy! Happy Birthday to you!
If you were here, I would make you a Barbie cake! grin!
We love you! Hope you had a special day!

Okay, so this video is a day late--but thought you might like it anyway!

At the Aquarium with Porsche's Cousin Ande

Saturday, March 21st, we went to the Seattle Aquarium to hang out with Porsche's cousin Ande, who was in town for the week from Minnesota. Bryan stayed home to work on his truck, but the rest of us met up with Aunt Ginny, Uncle Steve, Samantha, Alex, Grandpa, Grandma, and Ande at the Aquarium. It was a lot of fun seeing all the different fish and other creatures. Afterward, we went out for sushi!--how fitting! :)

Samantha and Mircea

Playing tug of war, with the legs. Mircea says the octopus is "scary!"

A bunch of the crew--Alex looks pretty pleased!

At the touching part of the tour--This is our favorite part of the whole visit. Oh, wait, Cea just said--no, i liked seeing Nemo, Dory, and Nemo's dad.

Ande, Porsche, Casper, Cea, and Grandpa

He makes it look like he was stuck in there all day;
but in reality, he was mostly held by somebody.

That is one crowded stroller!

Grandpa and Cea

Cea using chopsticks

Sweet Success.
(She actually did a really good job.--and yes, she is using the tab to help her with the chopsticks--but we give praise anyway!)

Casper smiling at Ande

Wow! Look at all the plates! it was pretty yummy!
Grandpa liked the mussels the best.
Cea liked the calamari (and her animal juice bottle)
I liked "the Ichiro" and the "Caterpillar"
I'm not sure what Bryan, Grandma or Ande liked.

Full of Sushi
