Mircea's 3rd Birthday

Mircea's Birthday was a lot of fun and a bit of work. Her birthday is February 15th.
We had our babysitter Kyleah spend the night the day before her party--which was a big help. (I have the best babysitter in the world!--and my kids absolutely adore her. I am so glad we have you Kyleah! :) And to top it off, Kyleah gave Cea a princess dress, that she wore her whole birthday. (Picked out by Kyleah's dad, Gary--he has excellent taste! :)
Anyway, Mircea had seen a picture of her friend Carter's birthday cake--a spider man, so she wanted a red princess cake, so she could be just like him--her logic not mine! :) I decided to make her cake--my first attempt ever of making a 'fancy' cake. AND I am quite proud of the result!--as Mircea said, "Oh, Mommy, she is beautiful!" I couldn't have received a better compliment!
The birthday Day was planned like this: First we would meet up with Mircea's friends (including cousins that are her friends) at music class that Mircea goes to each week. After music class we would come home and have lunch and cake, open presents, play, collapse. (the collapse was what the mom and dad would do! grin) And here comes the pictorial of the busy day.
The beautiful Dress. Sigh, it was perfect! Thank you!!

At music class, after the main singing part, the kids with birthdays got to go to the front of the room to get a birthday prize, and have the birthday song sung to them

Now it is Snack time (isn't that awesome?!?! a music class then snack time, then play time. I love going here!) They put out different colored cloths for the kids to sit on. They get raisons, string cheese, fishy crackers and a cup of water.

hmmmm I forgot, this day they handed out juice boxes instead of water.

We come home, and my amazing husband has everything set up and ready for us. He set the table, made all the food! It was perfect!! Thank you Thank you Thank you Bryan!

Mircea obviously loves it! What a great day for her!

Grandpa brought the balloons--some of them didn't make it. . . :(
We told him he could keep that one!

We served variations of Peanutbutter and Jelly sandwiches, grapes, baked cheetohs, cantaloupe, chocolate milk and apple juice.
(yes, the moms got to eat as well--they had hot sandwiches and salad.)

Normally naptime--but managing to stay awake.

Playing outside ont he deck, blowing bubbles, etc. while we clean things up for cake!

My masterpiece--I mean, "Mircea's Princess Cake"

a little bit of a meltdown.--no party is complete without it! :)

Cea and her Carter

You can do anything in a princess dress!

Still smiling when the party is over! That means--SWEET SUCCESS!
